Fraud and protection

Be alert

Has someone asked you to make a transaction?

Sonali Bank (UK) Ltd will never ask you to make remittances. If you are under duress to make a remittance payment and are able to signal this to us safely – please do so and we will take the necessary action

Ask yourself if it is a scam?

A scam is where a payment has been made by you from your own account to someone or something that you believed to be genuine, but instead you have been mislead. Stopping and thinking before parting with your money or information could help you keep it safe.

Take your time, do your research, don’t be afraid to say no

Fraudsters will try to act as legitimate as possible and often try and create a sense of urgency to panic and rush you. It is important to stay alert to anything suspicious and know it is okay to reject, refuse, or ignore requests while you check if it’s genuine.

Ask for help, get in touch

If you think you may have been scammed, contact us straight away and report it to Action Fraud,

If you are at all nervous, stop this payment and contact us immediately.
